How will your program help?
Your first visit will start with a free initial mini diagnostic assessment. We have all the supplies and materials needed, it only takes about 45 minutes, and the results are ready for review within minutes. The assessment is a low-stress experience. When an activity becomes too difficult, we stop that activity and move on to the next. Our goal is to see what they already know, so we spend our time wisely during each lesson. Together, we will design a customized program based on their needs, skills, and pace. Our average student attends twice per week and grows one year every ten weeks! You are kept up-to-date every step of the way through regular progress reports and post-tests.
What programs do you offer?
By nature of what they are, TTRPGs, Strategy Board Games, and Trading Card Games generally require us to read game books, practice math, take notes, communicate, problem solve, manage resources like money and mana, exercise empathy, understand that there’s consequences to actions, speak in front of a group… they challenge us in ways that get students to practice skills that aren’t explicitly taught through a classroom lecture.
How do students stay motivated?
Complexity is table top gaming provide students with opportunities for autonomy, and practicing skills, and solving problems, can be really exciting!!
Do you only help students that are behind?
Whether looking at academics, social skills, general life skills, or any other form of knowledge and wisdom that these games can support, TTRPGs, as a whole, offer students or players of any age the opportunity to creatively learn in a way that’s enjoyable, exciting, and just… makes us happy.
Will my child be given homework?
No, we believe extra homework can overwhelm your already overloaded child. However, your child is welcome to bring in homework from school.
Who are your teachers?
Our teachers are knowledgeable, patient, encouraging, and flexible. Each teacher is certified with classroom experience. Most of our teachers teach in local public schools, so they are familiar with the latest teaching methods. In addition, they have been trained to use our specialized program. They are experts at tailoring instruction to each student. There is no need for a student to fit our curriculum. Our program is designed to be flexible.
Do I have to sign a contract?
No, we offer a high-quality tutoring program, so we are confident you will be pleased with your child’s progress.
